Who We Are
Barcodes Generator (barcodes-generator.com) was founded by a team of full-stack software engineers, technical supply-chain specialists, and retail compliance advisors. Having worked directly with growing e-commerce merchants on Amazon, Shopify, Flipkart, and Meesho, we witnessed firsthand the frustration caused by existing barcode web tools: aggressive paywalls, mandatory user registrations, watermarked graphics, invasive tracking cookies, and severe security risks from uploading confidential inventory spreadsheets to third-party cloud servers.
We built Barcodes Generator to prove that professional-grade, print-ready barcode software should be completely free, transparent, and private by design.
The Privacy-First Principle: 100% Client-Side Computing
The core architectural pillar of our platform is that your data never leaves your device.
When you generate a UPC-A retail code, configure an Amazon FBA FNSKU shipping label, audit a pharmaceutical Data Matrix 2D code, or upload a 1,000-row CSV product spreadsheet, every single computation takes place locally within your web browser’s JavaScript engine. No proprietary product names, wholesale costs, internal SKU numbers, or customer details are ever transmitted over the network or stored in a remote database.
Why Client-Side Processing Matters for Businesses:
- Complete Confidentiality: Competitors and third parties cannot intercept your unreleased SKU catalogs, supplier codes, or retail pricing structures.
- Zero Server Throttling: Generate single labels or batch-process hundreds of barcodes without waiting in server queues, facing rate limits, or suffering cloud outages.
- Offline Capable: Once a tool page finishes loading, you can disconnect from the internet and continue generating barcodes locally.
- Data Protection Compliance: Eliminating server-side data retention ensures total alignment with GDPR, CCPA, and global data privacy standards.
Our Open-Source Technology Stack
We believe in technical transparency. We do not use proprietary "black-box" barcode engines. Instead, our platform is built on proven, battle-tested open-source libraries that are 100% self-hosted on our infrastructure with zero external CDN dependencies:
- JsBarcode: Industry-standard linear symbology engine powering our Code 128, UPC-A, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 39, and ITF-14 barcode rendering.
- bwip-js: High-precision Barcode Writer in Pure JavaScript, providing ISO/IEC-compliant 2D Data Matrix (ECC 200) and QR Code rasterization.
- jsPDF: Pure client-side PDF document compiler producing mathematically aligned 300 DPI vector and canvas label sheets for Avery 5160, 5163, L7160, and 4×6 thermal printers.
- PapaParse: Ultrafast browser-based CSV parser enabling seamless chunked spreadsheet ingestion without freezing your user interface.
- Three.js: Lightweight WebGL 3D graphics engine powering our visual homepage hero demonstration, configured to automatically degrade gracefully on low-power devices.
Who Uses Our Tools?
Our platform is engineered specifically for merchants and organizations across the United States, India, and the global commercial marketplace:
USA & Global E-Commerce
Amazon FBA sellers requiring FNSKU barcode stickers, Shopify boutique owners making custom retail tags, self-published authors creating ISBN Bookland barcodes, and warehouse teams printing Code 128 carton routing labels.
India Retail & Marketplaces
Sellers on Flipkart, Meesho, and Amazon India printing compliant dispatch labels, FMCG manufacturers preparing EAN-13 barcodes with the 890 GS1 prefix, and neighborhood Kirana store owners creating durable POS inventory tags.
Our Commitment to Honesty & Transparency
A major problem in the barcode industry is misleading online services that sell "cheap barcodes" with false promises of official registry ownership. We operate under strict transparency rules:
- We Generate Barcode Images Only: Our tools generate mathematically valid, scannable barcode graphic files (PNG, SVG, PDF). We do not claim to issue officially registered GS1 company prefixes or assign legally binding GTINs.
- Official Registration Guidance: For major retail distribution (such as listing on Amazon Brand Registry or supplying national supermarket chains like Walmart, Target, or Reliance Retail), we actively direct merchants to obtain their authorized prefixes directly from GS1 US or GS1 India.
- Zero Trademark Affiliation: We are an independent software organization and have no formal affiliation with GS1, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Shopify, Etsy, or Avery. All brand names are used strictly for technical compatibility and descriptive purposes.
How We Keep Our Tools 100% Free
Barcodes Generator is supported entirely through non-intrusive, privacy-respecting digital advertising (such as Google AdSense). We strictly reject intrusive popups, forced software downloads, paywalls, and subscriber paygates. Every tool, calculator, and downloadable template is available to all users without charge.
